According to statistics, the US exported 657,000 tons of H1 scraps and 561,000 tons of shredded scraps in March.
In the first quarter of this year, the US exports of H2 scraps totaled 1.774 million tons, decreasing by 8.5%; those of shredded scraps were at 1.647 million tons, falling by 7.2%, both compared to those in the same period of a year ago.
In the given period of time, Turkey was the largest importer of the US H1 scraps with 771,000 tons, decreasing by 3.3%; Taiwan was the second largest one with 283,000 tons, falling by 20.7%; Korea was the third largest one with 193,000 tons, slumping by 44.9%, all compared to those in the same period of a year earlier.
